Helium-3 Proportional Counters are used to measure thermal neutrons and are typically used with a moderator. In some cases water or mud/oil is the moderator such as in moisture gauges and oil & gas exploration. Another large application for Helium-3 detectors is for Homeland Security.
Our Helium-3 tubes are designed to meet specific customer application. Our common size diameters ar 0.5", 0.75", 1.0", 1.25". 1.75", and 2" with lengths from2" to over 6 feet. Gas pressure can be from 2 to 20 atmospheres. |
